Goods imported for re-export are subject to a temporary admission system and are not assessed customs duties.  This system has been abused in the past and customs officials may be particularly demanding in enforcing regulations.  Granting of such status is subject to the prior authorization of the customs office.  

The Direction de la Facilitation et du Partenariat avec l’Entreprise authorizes temporary entry.
