While an attractive market for many investors, companies may experience market challenges in North Macedonia.  The slow-moving judicial system, some legislative and regulatory contradictions, a relatively slow bureaucracy, and weak rule of law and corruption can cause issues as companies enter the market.  Additionally, irregular tendering processes, inconsistent enforcement of intellectual property rights, delays in collecting payments from both public and private sector entities and needed improvements to transportation infrastructure can cause operational issues.
