In January 2023, the Department of Commerce’s Global Markets unit within the International Trade Administration will launch a series of monthly webinars. Each will be led by experienced active and retired Foreign Service Officers of the U.S. & Foreign Commercial Service. The monthly webinars will cover a wide range of high-level topics through the academic year, designed to give you an inside look at how Commerce employees successfully collaborate within the department and across the interagency to further U.S. national economic and security interests.

Speakers will address regional markets, commercial diplomacy issues such as market access and trade barriers that impede U.S. exports of goods and services, as well as leadership and management topics. Learn about what the job entails and its success attributes before you consider applying. Officers will also speak about career opportunities and how you can prepare when vacancies are advertised.

You will not want to miss any of this webinar series! We especially encourage those with academic and professional backgrounds in Business Administration, Communications, Marketing, Business, International Affairs, or Economics to register.
