Recycle - Reduce - Reuse - Export!

Elendu Textiles is a Fargo, ND-based exporter of recycled clothing. Their mission is to reduce textile waste (there are significant environmental impacts from clothing production and disposal, and clothes can take up to 40 years to decompose). Elendu Textiles connected with the U.S. Commercial Service / North Dakota office to discuss export opportunities in April 2022. After analyzing global used clothing import opportunities, owner Rolland Elendu opted for an International Partner Search Plus Virtual Introductions in Honduras. The service was initiated in May 2022. U.S. Commercial Service / Honduras Specialist Havivi Rodriguez reached out to a range of potential clothing importers and brokers, and lined up a series of introductory calls for Elendu in June 2022.

After speaking with various potential business partners in Honduras, Elendu Textiles proceeded to make a sale of a container of clothing to one of the companies from the list. Elendu shipped a full container of clothing and shoes to Honduras, representing the first sale to Honduras.
