US&FCS Pilot Fellowship Program
Applications for the U.S. and Foreign Commercial Service (US&FCS) Pilot Fellowship Program will be solicited through a Notice of Funding Opportunity published on grants.gov.

CS Fellowship

The U.S. and Foreign Commercial Service Pilot (USFCS) Fellowship Program provides an opportunity for Master’s degree students in the fields of International Affairs, International Relations, International Studies, Economics, Business, Trade, Public Administration, or Public Policy, to increase their level of knowledge and awareness of the Foreign Commercial Service (FCS) and its vital role in promoting American exports and facilitating trade and commerce around the world.  Individuals who are U.S. citizens or U.S. nationals and are in the first year of an eligible Master’s degree program, or will complete their first year in the spring or summer of 2024, at a U.S. accredited institution, may apply. The program also provides a pathway to potential employment with the Department of Commerce, International Trade Administration, Global Markets, and particularly encourages students from underserved communities to apply.

Submitting Your Application Electronically
To submit your application electronically, you must register in both Grants.gov and eRA Commons

We encourage you to begin the registration process several weeks before the August 7, 2024 deadline, as it may take both Grants.gov up to two (2) business days and eRA Commons up to two (2) weeks to register.  After registration is complete, the application can be submitted to Grants.gov and it may take several days for Grants.gov and eRA Commons to validate or reject your application. It is important to allow extra time for potential error correction and resubmission. Applications received after the due date will be disqualified.
