Customs Regulations
Last published date:
The customs laws and regulations of Burkina Faso are governed by the WAEMU framework. The primary authority is the General Directorate of Customs (DGD). Procedures and required forms are generally available on the DGD website. The DGD is responsible for the classification and valuation of products, with customs duties and taxes calculated based on the Harmonized System (HS) codes. Importers can apply for an advance ruling, though the process can be lengthy.
