Let’s Connect about Maritime Services

Supporting Trade from Sea to Shining Sea

The Office of Supply Chain Services (SCS) recognizes the importance of port and maritime services to end-to-end supply chain connectivity and supply chain resiliency. We work to support the U.S. maritime and port industry in several ways. We conduct industry outreach, including to individual ports, ocean carriers, and trade associations, to monitor industry trends, developments, and disruptions so that we can keep Commerce leadership informed of the needs of industry. We also support trade missions and other trade and export promotion activities with a focus on port development, to help U.S. service providers access opportunities abroad. We work with our federal partners, including through the Committee on the Marine Transportation System (CMTS), to provide a commercial perspective to maritime policy development that may impact the maritime industry.
