Talent for Growth Task Force

The U.S.-EU Trade and Technology Council (TTC) Talent for Growth Task Force, which has concluded its work, was comprised of government and private sector leaders focused on ensuring millions of workers in both the U.S. and Europe are equipped with the training and skills they need to thrive in an economy transformed by technology.

The Task Force

To ensure inclusive economic growth that benefits our people and to maintain our collective leadership in existing and emerging technologies, the U.S.-EU Trade and Technology Council (TTC) announced the establishment of the Talent for Growth Task Force on December 5, 2022. The TTC is committed to collaborating to build middle-income careers for millions of workers in both the U.S. and EU. The Talent for Growth Task Force brought together government and private sector leaders from business, labor, and organizations that provide training, building on existing initiatives on both sides of the Atlantic. The goal of the Task Force was to learn from experiences Members and their sectors have had and to serve as a catalyst for innovative skills approaches.

The Task Force concluded its work on April 4, 2024 with a meeting at TTC6, presenting the Official Talent for Growth Task Force Statement to Secretary Gina Raimondo and EVP Margrethe Vestager on behalf of the TTC. You can find the Statement below (see the Other Important Links tab), as well as preparatory reports that informed the Statement, from each of the workstream leads and related reports authored by the OECD.
