Licensing Requirements for Professional Services
Last published date:

There are several different licensing requirements for professional services in Liberia depending on the services, sectors, and industry. For example, obtaining a license to practice law is issued by the Liberia National Bar Association and the Ministry of Justice while licenses for offering accounting and audit services are issued by the Liberia Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Central Bank of Liberia. The Forestry Development Authority issues licenses or permits for timber and logging businesses. Mining licenses are issued by the Ministry of Mines and Energy. Construction and excavation permits are issued by the Ministry of Public Works while survey and land demarcation licenses are issued by the Liberia Land Authority. For detailed information on specific licenses, contact the Liberia Business Registry or the Liberia Chamber of Commerce.
