Protecting Intellectual Property
Last published date:

Armenia has a strong legislative and regulatory framework to protect intellectual property rights (IPR). Despite the existence of relevant legislation and executive government structures, however, the concept of IPR remains unrecognized by a large part of the local population.  Information about IPR is available at the Investment Climate Statement for Armenia.

In any foreign market companies should consider several general principles for effective protection of their intellectual property.  For background, please see Protecting Intellectual Property and Stopfakes.gov or contact ITA’s Office of Intellectual Property Rights Director, Stevan Mitchell at Stevan.Mitchell@trade.gov.
