Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Advisory Committee
Supporting the U.S. renewable energy and energy efficiency manufacturers and services providers.

REEEAC

In support of U.S. renewable energy and energy efficiency manufacturers and services providers, the U.S. Department of Commerce has re-established the Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Advisory Committee (REEEAC). The REEEAC shall advise the Secretary regarding the development and administration of programs and policies to expand the competitiveness of U.S. exports of renewable energy and energy efficiency goods and services, in accordance with applicable United States regulations.

At the first REEEAC meeting of Charter 6 (2020-2022), which was held on May 26, 2021, the REEEAC members established four subcommittees:

  • Trade Promotion and Market Access;
  • Global Decarbonization;
  • Clean Energy Supply Chains; and
  • Technology and Innovation.

In total, the 6th Charter held nine meetings and submitted 12 recommendations to the U.S. Department of Commerce.

On May 27, 2022, the REEEAC was rechartered for 2022-2024 (7th Charter). Please refer to the revised charter below for details on the scope, roles/responsibilities, and diversity requirements.

The Department of Commerce issued an announcement on June 15 to solicit nominations for the 7th Charter. The deadine to be nominated or self-nominated is July 22, 2022.
