In support of U.S. renewable energy and energy efficiency manufacturers and services providers, the U.S. Department of Commerce has re-established the Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Advisory Committee (REEEAC). The REEEAC shall advise the Secretary regarding the development and administration of programs and policies to expand the competitiveness of U.S. exports of renewable energy and energy efficiency goods and services, in accordance with applicable United States regulations. In total, the 6th Charter of the REEEAC (2020-2022) held nine meetings and submitted 12 recommendations to the U.S. Department of Commerce.
On May 27, 2022, the REEEAC was rechartered for 2022-2024 (7th Charter). Please refer to the revised charter below for details on the scope, roles/responsibilities, and diversity requirements.
The sixth meeting of the 7th charter will be held in person on Thursday, January 25, 2024 from 10 AM to 3:30 PM EST at the Department of Commerce in Washington, DC. Members of the public wishing to participate as observers or providing comments must register in advance with Designated Federal Officer Cora Dickson at the contact information below by 5:00 PM EST on Monday January 22, 2024. The meeting will be accessible as a livestream via WebEx Webinar to registered participants who request to join virtually.
