UK Defense Market – Automating Military Logistics

The UK MOD is seeking to identify innovations that can deliver a step change in military logistics capability across the Maritime, Land and Air domains.  A total of approximately $1.1 million is available to fund multiple proposals, with projects showcasing their innovation at a demonstration event to be held in the UK during September 2021.  Submissions for proposes close on Thursday 25 March 2021.

This Defence and Security Accelerator (DASA) competition, run on behalf of the MOD’s Defence Science and Technology Laboratory (DSTL), is seeking to engage with industry and academia to identify, develop, and demonstrate to the military logistics community, innovations that have the potential to deliver a step change in military logistics capability across the Maritime, Land and Air domains.

The focus of this competition is on innovative autonomy and automation (including automation for additive manufacturing) for future Deployed Military Logistics Hubs. The primary aim is to inform future military user requirements pan-domain (Maritime, Land and Air), at this time, procurement of successful solutions or further development funding cannot be guaranteed.

On Thursday 11 February 2021, there will be a dial-in session providing further detail on the event and a chance to ask questions in an open forum.  If you would like to participate, please register on the Eventbrite page.

On Tuesday 23 February 2021, a series of 15 minute one-to-one teleconference sessions are available to give you the opportunity to ask specific questions.  If you would like to participate, please register on the Eventbrite page.

The MOD is also encouraging collaboration between suppliers to provide a total solution and not just a piece to be included in the total solution.  To support collaboration, the MOD have created a short survey to collect details of suppliers who wish to explore collaboration possibilities.  To complete a survey, please visit the collaboration survey homepage.
