Poland ICT the most cyber attacked country in the world

During the CPX Cyber security Summit and Expo conference in Vienna February 2024, analytics from Check Point Research revealed that Poland is the leading country in terms of cyber-attacks in the world. According to Polish Cyberspace Defense Forces, during February 2024, Poland has become the most attacked country in the world with over 1000 cyber-attacks on organizations occurring per week.

The number of cyber-attacks increased dramatically in 2022, after the Russian invasion of Ukraine in February 2022. Already at that time, Poland was one of the most targeted countries for cyber-attacks; since then, the number of attacks has only been increasing.

Most Polish companies are not well prepared for cyber-attacks. According to an AON study, less than 43 percent of enterprises in Poland have implemented a post-incident plan or a formal risk review for cyber-attacks.

The expenditures on cyber defense in Poland have been growing in the last years, and the value of this industry increased by 14 percent during 2023, according to Polish journal Rzeczpospolita.

With that in mind, demand from the local public and private sectors in Poland for innovative cyber security solutions, as well as AI solutions, has been growing markedly.  U.S. companies specializing in cutting edge cyber security solutions could be of significant interest to the Polish government and private sector partners seeking to improve their cyber security infrastructure and readiness.
