Guatemala Scholarship Program for Graduate Students

Guatefuturo is a Guatemalan non-profit foundation established in 2006 with the support of the Government of Guatemala and private companies with a mission to provide financial support and promote socioeconomic development and competitiveness of Guatemalan citizens.

This program aims to support graduate education abroad for students with a record of academic excellence while taking into consideration also the quality of the academic program the student is interested in pursuing.  Upon completion of the studies abroad, the student must return to Guatemala for three to five years.

Currently, Guatefuturo has signed several agreements with prestigious universities from Australia, Chile, Spain, and the United States and it is interested in establishing more agreements with U.S. higher education institutions.
