CHINA ENVIRONMENTAL MACHINERY ACTION PLAN

In January 2022, three Chinese ministries jointly released an action plan that would be of interest to American environmental machinery companies. The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST), and Ministry of Ecology and Environment (MEE) are aiming to grow this industry by $205 billion.

To reach the goal, the ministries identified five directions for technology development: (1) pollution and carbon reduction, (2) collaborative control of fine particulate matter and ozone, (3) multi-pollutant disposal in non-electrical industries, (4) marine pollution control, and (5) identification of toxic and harmful pollutants.
