CHINA ENERGY TRANSITION MARKET

Following the 2021 United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP 26) in Glasgow, the United States and China issued a joint declaration on enhancing climate action in the 2020’s.

As China turbo charges the development of its energy transition away from coal, opportunities will exist for U.S. companies to partner with Chinese firms on demonstration projects.

Areas of opportunity include carbon capture, utilization, and storage (CCUS), methane abatement, direct air capture, green design, energy efficiency, and renewable resource utilization.  This Joint Declaration highlights the shared interest in combating the climate crisis as set out by the Paris Agreement. U.S. industry will play an important role toward this end.
