The Special 301 Report is an annual review of the global state of IP protection and enforcement. The U.S. Trade Representative conducts the Special 301 review annually pursuant to Section 182 of the Trade Act of 1974, as amended. As of the 2024 Special 301 Report, Cameroon is not listed on the Special 301 Watch List or Priority Watch List. This indicates that, at the time of this report, Cameroon is not identified as a priority concern regarding intellectual property rights (IPR) protection and enforcement. In any foreign market, companies should consider several general principles for effective protection of their intellectual property.
