Delegation Recruitment (with At-Show Assistance)
Increase and/or diversify your event attendance through targeted recruitment. The ITA team supporting your event will recruit foreign buyer delegations from mutually agreed upon markets and support them throughout the course of the event. The ITA team will leverage our established relationships with known buyers as well as recruit new potential buyers to maximize sales opportunities at your event.
Specifically, the ITA event team will:
In preparation for the event:
- Identify Target Markets: In consultation with you, ITA will identify/recommend select market(s) in which to focus promotion and recruitment efforts.
- Promote the Event in Target Markets: Distribute organizer-provided multi-language promotional materials when available and as appropriate.
- Identify and Recruit: ITA experts in the target market(s) will identify and recruit potential foreign buyers, prioritizing those likely to seek business and/or close deals with U.S. exporters exhibiting at this Trade Event. Best efforts will be made; however, ITA cannot guarantee a minimum number of delegations or delegates.
- Coordinate Communications: Create and implement a communications plan to organize and synchronize efforts with all ITA recruiting staff (Commercial Specialists outside the U.S. and Trade Specialists inside the U.S.) to encourage maximum promotion of the U.S. interests at your event.
- Travel Guidance and Support*: When applicable, ITA will advise on travel and accommodations options, highlight show-related promotions and deals for travelers’ consideration. For large delegations, an ITA staff person may travel with delegates.
*Note: Travelers are responsible for obtaining their own travel visas. ITA staff is unable to assist with securing visas.
At the event:
- Guide Delegates through Registration: Ensure foreign buyers recruited by ITA go through registration, badge pickup, pre-show orientation, etc.
- Counsel US Exhibitors: Provide at-show assistance and market intelligence to U.S. exhibitors.
- Maintain an International Business Assistance Center: If designated space provided by the show/U.S. pavilion organizer, ITA will use the space to provide in-person export counseling and facilitate connections between U.S. exporters and foreign buyers.

Business-to-Business (B2B) Matchmaking
Add value to your event for U.S. exhibitors and show registrants alike with little to no effort on your part through ITA’s B2B matchmaking program. ITA’s program will maximize exhibitor visibility and engagement by facilitating one-on-one introductions via ITA’s global network of potential foreign buyers, partners, and/or government decision-makers. B2B matchmaking is an effective networking dynamic that considers attendees’ exact expectations and identifies potential matches between those attendance at an event.
ITA will leverage our global network to:
- Facilitate e-mail introductions ahead of the event between U.S. exhibitors*, foreign buyer delegations, and event-registered foreign buyers, saving attendees from the time-intensive search for potential prospects.
- Set up and support B2B meetings, including troubleshooting, last minute requests, and follow on appointments.
- Coordinate with show organizers to establish designated meeting space.
- B2B matchmaking can be managed either on the organizer’s preferred platform/software (if provided) or on ITA’s exclusive platform.
*Note: ITA’s B2B matchmaking is limited to connecting U.S. sellers and foreign buyers. ITA is unable to extend matchmaking services to foreign sellers.

Coordinated Overseas Market Counseling
Attract more U.S. exhibitors by offering a an ITA market counseling program. This type of counseling is focused on business development for export-ready U.S. companies and can be formatted either as one-to-one (meetings with individual exhibitors) or one-to-many (requiring a meeting space large enough for the expected audience). Recipients receive a briefing on potential market opportunities and sales prospects for their product or service in that market and efforts are made to connect them with related networking and foreign buyer opportunities.

Generate buzz with an expert-led promotional webinar (< 1 hour) highlighting industry trends prior to your event. Content will be developed in collaboration with the show/U.S. pavilion organizer and may include in-country knowledge and contacts, best practices, testimonials, and/or case studies. The industry briefing segment will lead into an event presentation featuring your event and highlighting onsite opportunities for U.S. companies and other benefits of attending the event. By default, webinars will be hosted on ITA’s webinar platform; however, ITA can present on your preferred platform by request.

Networking Reception
Create amazing networking opportunities, show buzz, and a natural launch point for your attendees to generate global sales leads in a relaxed setting. Let ITA do the work of coordinating a networking event at your show. Networking events can be any format, including breakfasts, lunches, happy hours, parties, or other events.
