On June 2, 2026, the U.S. Department of Commerce (Commerce) announced its preliminary affirmative determinations in the countervailing duty (CVD) investigations of van-type trailers and subassemblies thereof from the People’s Republic of China (China) and Mexico.

Next Steps 

  • The final determinations in these CVD investigations have been aligned with the final determinations in the accompanying AD investigations. The final determinations for China are currently scheduled to be issued on August 24, 2026, and the final determinations for Mexico are currently scheduled to be issued on October 13, 2026. 
  • Commerce is also conducting concurrent antidumping duty (AD) investigations of van-type trailers and subassemblies thereof from Canada, China, and Mexico.  
  • The U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC) is conducting concurrent injury investigations. For more information related to the ITC’s timeline, please refer to the ITC’s calendar.

  • The petitioner  is the American Trailer Manufacturers Coalition, the members of which are Great Dane LLC (Chicago, IL), Stoughton Trailers LLC (Stoughton, WI), and Wabash National Corporation (Lafayette, IN). 
  • On May 27, 2026, the petitioner withdrew its countervailing duty petition regarding imports of van-type trailers and subassemblies thereof from Canada. As such, Commerce has terminated its countervailing duty investigation of van-type trailers and subassemblies from Canada.

The Chatbot’s knowledge is limited to the public information on the Export Solutions web pages of Trade.gov, which covers a wide range of topics on exporting. While it cannot provide responses specific to a company’s product or a specific foreign market, its reference pages will guide you to other relevant government resources and market research. Always double-check the Chatbot’s responses using the provided references or by visiting the Export Solutions web pages on Trade.gov. Do not use its responses as legal or professional advice. Inaccurate advice from the Chatbot would not be a defense to violating any export rules or regulations.

Privacy

The Chatbot does not collect information about users and does not use the contents of users’ chat history to learn new information. All feedback is anonymous.
