Commerce Initiates Antidumping and Countervailing Duty Investigations of Brass Rod from Brazil, India, Israel, Mexico, South Africa, and the Republic of Korea

 

On May 18, 2023, the Department of Commerce (Commerce) announced the initiation of antidumping duty (AD) investigations on brass rod from Brazil, India, Israel, Mexico, the Republic of Korea (Korea), and South Africa, and countervailing duty (CVD) investigations of brass rod from India, Israel, and Korea.

In the Petitions, the petitioners contend that imports of brass rod from Israel may be misclassified under HTSUS 7403.21.0000 and provide supporting documentation to support their claim. As a result, the above import statistics for Israel reflect imports entered under HTSUS subheadings 7407.21.1500, 7407.21.7000, and 7407.21.9000, and 7403.21.0000.

The Chatbot’s knowledge is limited to the public information on the Export Solutions web pages of Trade.gov, which covers a wide range of topics on exporting. While it cannot provide responses specific to a company’s product or a specific foreign market, its reference pages will guide you to other relevant government resources and market research. Always double-check the Chatbot’s responses using the provided references or by visiting the Export Solutions web pages on Trade.gov. Do not use its responses as legal or professional advice.
