Foreign AD/CVD or Safeguard Investigation
Facing a Foreign Antidumping, Countervailing, or Safeguard Action? We can help.
If your company has recently received questions from a foreign government about your exports and sales, you could be subject to a foreign trade remedy investigation. Ignoring a trade remedy investigation can lead to substantial duties being imposed on your exports and result in the loss of market access.
How can we help?
The Trade Remedy Compliance Staff (TRCS) works closely with U.S. producers and exporters affected by foreign trade remedy proceedings to help them navigate the process and ensure U.S. stakeholders are treated fairly.
What is our mission?
Our objective is to safeguard U.S. market access abroad by advocating for fair, rules-based treatment of U.S. companies facing foreign trade remedy actions and ensuring a level playing field for legitimate competition. TRCS analyzes global antidumping, countervailing, and safeguard actions (see below for complete definitions) and keeps U.S. industry informed about foreign trade remedy actions impacting their exports. By leveraging our global network of contacts across the U.S. Government, foreign governments, U.S. industry, and trade associations, TRCS works to resolve issues efficiently and effectively. We also review and assess our trading partner’s trade remedy laws, policies, and practices to ensure they are consistent with international obligations.
