Commerce MTB Report
Pursuant to its mandate under Section 3(c) of the American Manufacturing Competitiveness Act of 2016 (AMCA), the Department of Commerce published its 2020 report dated April 9, 2020. In accordance with the statute, the report was provided to the USITC, as well as to the appropriate Congressional committees.
As required by the AMCA, Commerce consulted U.S. Customs and Border Protection and other relevant Federal agencies in preparing this report. Specific agency contributions are noted in the methodology section of the report. Nothing in the report should be construed as Administration support for, or objection to, legislation to suspend or reduce duties on articles subject to the petitions.
