Preliminary Determination in the Countervailing Duty Investigation of Granular Polytetrafluoroethylene Resin from India and Russia

On June 29, 2021, the Department of Commerce (Commerce) announced its affirmative preliminary determinations in the countervailing duty (CVD) investigations of granular polytetrafluoroethylene (granular PTFE) resin from India and Russia.

The petitioner is Daikin America, Inc. (Orangeburg, NY).

Commerce found preliminarily that “critical circumstances” exist with respect to imports of granular PTFE resin from India for mandatory respondent Gujarat Fluourochemicals Limited and all other producers and exporters. Consequently, Commerce will instruct CBP to impose provisional measures retroactively on entries of granular PTFE resin from India, effective 90 days prior to publication of the preliminary determination in the Federal Register, for the affected producers and exporters.

While it cannot provide responses specific to a company’s product or a specific foreign market, its reference pages will guide you to other relevant government resources and market research. Always double-check the Chatbot’s responses using the provided references or by visiting the Export Solutions web pages on Trade.gov. Do not use its responses as legal or professional advice. Inaccurate advice from the Chatbot would not be a defense to violating any export rules or regulations.

Privacy

The Chatbot does not collect information about users and does not use the contents of users’ chat history to learn new information. All feedback is anonymous.
