The United Kingdom Initiates Review of its Antidumping Duty Measure on Biodiesel Products from the United States (Including Biodiesel Consigned from Canada)
On January 28, 2026, the United Kingdom’s Trade Remedies Authority (TRA) initiated an expiry review of its antidumping duty (AD) measure on imports of biodiesel products (biodiesel) from the United States including consigned from Canada. The United Kingdom’s AD measure on biodiesel has been in place since January 30, 2021. The AD duties currently in place for U.S. producers/exporters range from 0-144.11 GBP per metric ton.
What is an expiry review?
An expiry review is also known as a sunset review, and its purpose is to determine whether the revocation of the measure would be likely to lead to the continuation or recurrence of dumping or unfair subsidization and material injury to the domestic industry. The measure may only be extended beyond five years, counting from the date on which a measure was first instituted or the most recently completed expiry review, if both conditions are met.

U.S. companies involved in the production, sale, or distribution of the subject goods should register as interested parties as soon as possible. Registration is the first step in protecting your rights in a foreign trade remedy proceeding. Doing so allows you to access the case records and submit information and comments, ensuring that your views are considered. The subject merchandise is biodiesel, including fatty-acid mono-alkyl esters (FAME) and/or paraffinic gasoil obtained from synthesis of non-fossil origin, pure or in blends.
