Arkansas Company Sees Robust Aerospace and Defense Markets for its Fuel Bladders and Product Line

When Faith Elliott, Vice-President of Amfuel - a Magnolia, Arkansas, manufacturer of fuel bladders, coated fabrics, and liquid logistics for the aerospace and defense industry - was looking to grow the firm’s export sales, she tapped the U.S. Commercial Service in Little Rock, Arkansas, and offices in Saudi Arabia and Japan for assistance. Through strategic export counseling and guidance provided by trade experts, the firm leveraged market intelligence, virtual meetings, partner introductions at trade shows, and a State of Arkansas State Trade Expansion Program (STEP) grant. The result? Through this assistance, the firm identified and connected with key niche distributors, facilitating more than $9 million in new Amfuel export sales since late 2024; exports that have helped to grow the company while adding 25 new manufacturing jobs to its 300-plus person workforce at its Magnolia facility.

Ready to get started or grow your export sales? Faith Elliott of Amfuel cites the benefits of working with the U.S. Commercial Service:

The U.S. Commercial Service has been a key contributor to our export success, and we think of these resources as a real force multiplier with our export activities, greatly reducing our time to market. The export counseling, knowledge and contacts derived from support by its Little Rock and worldwide offices have increased our global reach, helping us to gain new sales and nurture existing international relationships.ā€
