Rural Client Testimonials

“Working with US Commercial Services out of Kansas City and North Dakota has helped us have a bullseye approach with selling globally.” – Kurt Miller, Heritage Tractor, Baldwin City, KS
“The entire process was engaging and interactive.  Throughout both phases our needs and desires were listened to and incorporated into the workflow and results.  We know our products and services, CS has access to data and that we do not have.  This was a great pairing to help us find new potential markets, quickly, accurately, and affordably. The recommendations presented in the final research report gives us a path to move forward.  I look forward to working with the CS staff in the countries we selected to move from research to on-ground work. The volume of information provided was incredible.  Thankfully, the matrix was easy to use and the research report was concise, with the extra information provided as links and references.” – Zak Allen, Bismarck State College

“Our association members found the US Commercial Services “Market Research Report on Woodworking Machinery Exports” to be eye-opening and useful. The Commercial Services team in Fargo, ND conducted extensive research on 9 key markets for this machinery. It was eye-opening to see how little US machinery is sold in some of these markets, relative to that from other competitive export markets. The demographic and contact information for key “buyers” and dealers in these markets will be invaluable as we move forward with our plans to pursue these markets.” - Fred Stringfellow, Wood Machinery Manufacturers Association
“The in-depth research has opened our minds. We appreciated seeing economic data, information on regulations and a landed cost to have a realistic in-country pricing estimate. We decided to take action in three countries after receiving in-depth country and buyer information for those countries.” - Cory Melland, President, PS Industries, Grand Forks, ND

“The in-depth research, coaching and in-market connections were game changers for our company. After ten years of skepticism toward global opportunity, we now have the confidence to pursue our chosen markets.” - Jon Diems, Steffes, Dickinson, ND

“We have gained new go-to marketing strategies, procedures and a mindset for global sales. Our in-depth market research report led to Germany, which led to direct contact with relevant contacts. Priceless!” - Kevin Christensen, Palmer Bit Co., Williston, ND

“We became emboldened to overcome obstacles and now we have an action plan with defined steps. It’s not such a hit or miss now. We actually have a strategy.” - Beth Ehlis, FunShine Express, Dickinson, ND

Global Business Navigator Chatbot Beta

Welcome to the Global Business Navigator, an artificial intelligence (AI) Chatbot from the International Trade Administration (ITA). This tool, currently in beta version testing, is designed to provide general information on the exporting process and the resources available to assist new and experienced U.S. exporters. The Chatbot, developed using Microsoft’s Azure AI services, is trained on ITA’s export-related content and aims to quickly get users the information they need. The Chatbot is intended to make the benefits of exporting more accessible by understanding non-expert language, idiomatic expressions, and foreign languages.

Limitations

As a beta product, the Chatbot is currently being tested and its responses may occasionally produce inaccurate or incomplete information. The Chatbot is trained to decline out of scope or inappropriate requests. The Chatbot’s knowledge is limited to the public information on the Export Solutions web pages of Trade.gov, which covers a wide range of topics on exporting. While it cannot provide responses specific to a company’s product or a specific foreign market, its reference pages will guide you to other relevant government resources and market research. Always double-check the Chatbot’s responses using the provided references or by visiting the Export Solutions web pages on Trade.gov. Do not use its responses as legal or professional advice. Inaccurate advice from the Chatbot would not be a defense to violating any export rules or regulations.

Privacy

The Chatbot does not collect information about users and does not use the contents of users’ chat history to learn new information. All feedback is anonymous. Please do not enter personally identifiable information (PII), sensitive, or proprietary information into the Chatbot. Your conversations will not be connected to other interactions or accounts with ITA. Conversations with the Chatbot may be reviewed to help ITA improve the tool and address harmful, illegal, or otherwise inappropriate questions.

Translation

The Chatbot supports a wide range of languages. Because the Chatbot is trained in English and responses are translated, you should verify the translation. For example, the Chatbot may have difficulty with acronyms, abbreviations, and nuances in a language other than English.
