WASHINGTON, D.C. – The U.S. Department of Commerce’s International Trade Administration (ITA) today released the following update regarding the American AI Exports Program:
“ITA thanks the hundreds of respondents who provided meaningful ideas, feedback, and engagement during the Request for Information (RFI) phase of the American AI Exports Program. Each submission is being fully reviewed, and public comments are being processed for publication to regulations.gov. The responses to the RFI will shape full implementation of the Program with a public call anticipated in early 2026 for proposals from industry-led consortia to export full-stack AI technology packages.”
