On August 18, 2025, the U.S. Department of Commerce (Commerce) announced its preliminary affirmative determination in the countervailing duty (CVD) investigation of polypropylene corrugated boxes from the People’s Republic of China (China).

Next Steps

  • The final determinations of these CVD investigations are aligned with the final determinations in the companion AD investigations, which is currently scheduled to be announced on November 12, 2025, unless postponed.
  • Commerce is conducting a concurrent antidumping duty investigation of polypropylene corrugated boxes from China and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
