Offshore Technology Conference 2022

USDOC and OTC Global Partnership Program

The U.S. Department of Commerce (USDOC) and Offshore Technology Conference (OTC) are once again partnering to recruit international buying delegations from around the world to attend OTC 2022. The USDOC brings over 1,000 public and private sector buyers from over 40 countries to meet with U.S. exhibitors at OTC each year.

Countries Currently Recruiting U.S. Embassy-led Delegations to Attend OTC 2022.  Check back weekly for new additions.

Sign-Up to be Included in the U.S. Exhibitor Export Interest Directory

Is your company looking to make sales internationally? Each year, the USDOC creates an Export Interest Directory (EID) of U.S. exhibitors at OTC who have opted-in to our vetted international buyers. The EID includes information such as Company Name, Contact at the Show, Booth Number, Regions and Countries of Interest, etc. and is only shared with the international buyers at the show. This directory allows the buyers to identify which U.S. companies are interested in selling abroad, which countries and regions those companies are targeting, and who to approach during the show. This is an excellent opportunity for the USDOC to bring international sales straight to your booth! Sign-up here: https://forms.office.com/g/d7ykUNLm40

USDOC Organized Programs to Connect U.S. Exhibitors with International Opportunities:

Business-to-Business (B2B) International Matchmaking Meetings: Sign-up to meet with public and private sector U.S. Embassy recruited international buyers at the show. Through the B2B program, your company profile will be promoted to qualified delegation members from the countries listed above. If the international buyer identifies your company as an appropriate fit, they will request a meeting. It is up to you to approve or reject the meeting based upon the delegation member’s profile. If approved, an introductory meeting will be organized. This is an excellent way to bring international opportunities directly to you at OTC 2022!

Business-to-Government (B2G) International Counseling Meetings: Meet one-on-one with our Energy Commercial Specialists from U.S. Embassies from around the world who have recruited delegations of vetted, legitimate buyers from their markets to attend OTC 2022. You will be briefed on individual market opportunities and challenges related to the offshore oil and gas industry and market potential for your products and services in those respective countries.

Register for these B2B and B2G U.S. Exhibitor Export Programs at OTC 2022.

Global Business Navigator Chatbot Beta

Welcome to the Global Business Navigator, an artificial intelligence (AI) Chatbot from the International Trade Administration (ITA). This tool, currently in beta version testing, is designed to provide general information on the exporting process and the resources available to assist new and experienced U.S. exporters. The Chatbot, developed using Microsoft’s Azure AI services, is trained on ITA’s export-related content and aims to quickly get users the information they need. The Chatbot is intended to make the benefits of exporting more accessible by understanding non-expert language, idiomatic expressions, and foreign languages.

Limitations

As a beta product, the Chatbot is currently being tested and its responses may occasionally produce inaccurate or incomplete information. The Chatbot is trained to decline out of scope or inappropriate requests. The Chatbot’s knowledge is limited to the public information on the Export Solutions web pages of Trade.gov, which covers a wide range of topics on exporting. While it cannot provide responses specific to a company’s product or a specific foreign market, its reference pages will guide you to other relevant government resources and market research. Always double-check the Chatbot’s responses using the provided references or by visiting the Export Solutions web pages on Trade.gov. Do not use its responses as legal or professional advice. Inaccurate advice from the Chatbot would not be a defense to violating any export rules or regulations.

Privacy

The Chatbot does not collect information about users and does not use the contents of users’ chat history to learn new information. All feedback is anonymous. Please do not enter personally identifiable information (PII), sensitive, or proprietary information into the Chatbot. Your conversations will not be connected to other interactions or accounts with ITA. Conversations with the Chatbot may be reviewed to help ITA improve the tool and address harmful, illegal, or otherwise inappropriate questions.

Translation

The Chatbot supports a wide range of languages. Because the Chatbot is trained in English and responses are translated, you should verify the translation. For example, the Chatbot may have difficulty with acronyms, abbreviations, and nuances in a language other than English.
