National AI Center
The Department of Commerce is establishing a first-of-its-kind government National AI Center to serve as the primary national gateway for American AI companies to engage with the U.S. Government for exporting U.S. AI technologies globally. The National AI Center will focus on accelerating U.S. AI exports by giving companies a clear, unified entry point to government resources and international market support.
On-site AI commercialization and export experts from the Department of Commerce’s Commercial Service will work as part of an integrated American AI exports team, including dedicated AI export professionals based in cities across America and Foreign Commercial Service officers around the world, to facilitate connections between interested U.S. companies and trusted foreign buyers.
Situated where the world’s leading AI companies, researchers, and investors are already concentrated, the National AI Center in San Francisco, CA will give Commerce direct, real-time access to the technology companies shaping the future of economic competitiveness, national security, and global leadership.
These initiatives implement President Trump’s AI Action Plan – a roadmap for America to win globally in AI by accelerating innovation, building AI infrastructure, and leading in international diplomacy and security. The Department of Commerce’s American AI Exports Program and National AI Center reflect the Trump Administration’s unwavering commitment to ensuring the United States remains the world leader in trustworthy, cutting-edge AI.
