Thailand Artificial Intelligence
Thailand represents a timely and compelling export market for U.S. technology companies. Its rapidly expanding demand for advanced digital solutions—particularly in cloud infrastructure, enterprise computing, cybersecurity, data analytics, and agentic AI—aligns closely with areas in which U.S. firms have proven capabilities and a strong competitive advantage.
Thailand’s AI market is projected to reach $6.4 billion by 2031, growing at a CAGR of 32.3percent, making it one of the strongest growth opportunities in Southeast Asia, according to Salesforce’s 2025 State of Service Study. The Thai government has been a key enabler through its Thailand 4.0 policy and National AI Strategy, which prioritize AI-driven innovation, digital infrastructure investment, and the development of smart industries across the country.
Consumer readiness further strengthens the market opportunity. According to SCB X Research, more than 90 percent of Thai consumers are aware of AI, and over 80 percent use it regularly in their daily lives through banking apps, search engines, online shopping platforms, and translation services. The financial services, healthcare, manufacturing, and retail sectors collectively account for over 60 percent of total AI investment in the country per Thailand’s Ministry of Digital Economy and Society. These are industries where U.S. exporters have a strong track record, proven solutions, and a clear competitive edge.
Thailand’s AI growth presents immediate, high-potential opportunities for U.S. technology companies. Demand for cloud infrastructure, data centers, and enterprise computing platforms is accelerating as Thai businesses and government agencies modernize their operations. Agentic AI platforms are also gaining strong commercial traction, with early adopters reporting up to 20 percent gains in revenue and customer satisfaction. Growing AI adoption has also driven urgent demand for cybersecurity solutions and data analytics tools to protect and maximize the value of data assets.
