Saudi Arabia Hyperloop Technology

Saudi Arabia based company – Emaar – is planning to construct the world’s longest hyperloop track situated 100km from Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. It will be working closely with U.S.-based Virgin Hyperloop One (VHO), as the main consultant for this project. This billion-dollar project is in its initial planning stage – and plans to include the construction of a 35km test and certification track, a research and development (R&D) center, a hyper-loop manufacturing facility, and construction of associated facilities.

VHO is working with the Ministry of Transport on a world-leading national hyperloop study to interconnect multiple cities throughout the Kingdom.  It is also exploring the creation of a Hyperloop Center of Excellence, which is estimated to generate $4 billion USD in GDP and the creation of 124,000 high-tech jobs.

This greenfield project presents a wealth of opportunities in the mobility, artificial intelligence, energy, and logistical management sectors for leading U.S. companies.  U.S. industry representatives with relevant expertise are encouraged to capitalize on these opportunities.

U.S. companies with innovative mobility technologies can contact the U.S. Commercial Service in Riyadh through saad.ahmed@trade.gov and anwar.shaqhan@tarde.gov in Jeddah.
