Poland Cybersecurity Spending Growing Rapidly

Spending on cybersecurity products and services in Poland increased by around 25 percent in 2025, reaching approximately 1 billion USD, according to analyses by PMR Market Experts by Hume’s (PMR).  This marks a significant jump from 2024, when the value of the Polish cybersecurity market exceeded 0.7 billion USD.

PMR estimates show that over the past decade, cybersecurity spending in Poland has nearly tripled, reflecting a fundamental shift in how companies approach IT security.

The main drivers behind rising investment include the growing scale and sophistication of cyber threats, increased regulatory pressure linked to the implementation of the EU’s NIS2 directive, and a broader shift in IT models toward cloud computing and service-based solutions.  As a result, the market structure is evolving.

Cybersecurity has become a top priority for Polish companies investing in IT.  PMR’s research indicates that around two-thirds of firms considered cybersecurity a priority in 2024 and 2025, while 43 percent identified it as their single most important IT spending area.

Regulatory changes are also playing a key role.  The transposition of the NIS2 directive into Polish law, through amendments to the National Cybersecurity System Act, expands the range of entities required to implement risk management systems, incident reporting procedures, and dedicated cybersecurity structures.  These obligations apply to critical sectors such as energy, transport, finance, healthcare, and digital services.
