Mozambique Training Center (MTC) for Rovuma Area 4 LNG Project

Rovuma LNG

The ExxonMobil (Exxon) and Eni (Italian multinational energy company) led international consortium is currently conducting Front-End Engineering and Design (FEED) on the estimated $30 billion, 18 mtpa Rovuma LNG onshore liquefaction (liquification perhaps?) plant. In addition to Exxon and Eni, the Rovuma LNG consortium includes China’s CNPC and ENH, Korea’s KOGAS, and Emirati ADNOC. Exxon currently plans to reach a final investment decision (FID) for the Area 4 gas field in northern Mozambique in 2026.

Mozambique Training Center (MTC)

The Mozambique Training Center (MTC) developed by the consortium in partnership with ENH (National Hydrocarbons Company in Mozambique) consists of multiple buildings on a single campus. The execution of the training center project is expected to commence early 2026. 

The MTC will have the following buildings:

  • Administration building
  • Classroom building
  • Workshop building
  • Simulated Process Plant building
  • Dinning / Multipurpose building
  • Student and Faculty Dorm building
  • Main Gate House building
  • East Gate House building
  • Associated site works
