Kuwait Fire Force Safety Solutions Roadmap
In September 2024, the Kuwait Fire Force (KFF) announced plans to implement fire safety solutions that integrates building fire systems with the KFF operations center. The plan will connect more than 50,000 buildings across Kuwait to specialized alarm control panels linked to the central system via alarm transmission equipment, ensuring comprehensive coverage and rapid emergency response times.
This large-scale initiative categorizes buildings into three groups: modern buildings that are easy to manage and access, older buildings requiring upgrades to existing fire suppression systems, and buildings that need new fire safety installations.
Each building’s alarm panel will connect to the KFF operations center via 5G or an alternative network. Alarms or malfunctions will be detected, classified, and sent to the KFF operations center for verification within two minutes before dispatching the appropriate emergency response.
KFF’s phase one initiative will target key facilities including healthcare and education facilities, followed by commercial and residential facilities.
Opportunities
• End-user system platforms (data statistics, alarm analysis, alarm dispatch)
• System and communications infrastructure developers
• Fire alarm IoT devices (smoke, heat, gas, flame detectors)
• Fire sprinkler systems
• Fire alarm control panels
• Fire alarm transmission equipment (alarm signaling aggregators, converter devices, data collection terminals)
