China Energy Jilin Province Peak Carbon Action Plan

In July 2022, Jilin Province released its 2022 – 2025 Peak Carbon Action Plan, which outlines efforts by local authorities to reduce energy consumption by 13.5% in heavy polluting industries.

U.S. companies have several opportunities to support this action plan, including the development of carbon capture, utilization, and storage (CCUS) technology, Virtual Power Plants (VPP), multi-energy storage systems, industrial heat pumps, hydrogen metallurgy, bioenergy, and smart energy control systems. To support this action plan, Chinese companies will be developing large-scale demonstration projects, which present partnership opportunities for U.S. companies.
