Brazil Construction Requests Tech Solutions

The State of São Paulo Association for Small Building Construction Companies (SINDICON SP) represents more than 1,000 member companies across the state. These companies are active in small-scale civil construction, consulting engineering, and industrial assembly. The association has highlighted strong demand among its members for construction equipment, technologies, and software.

Specifically, they are seeking technological solutions to reduce construction time and costs, focusing on three areas: low-income housing (Brazil’s Minha Casa, Minha Vida program faces a 6.8 million housing deficit); agricultural silos (Brazil has a severe grain storage deficit of 110 million tons, projected to reach 170 million by 2030); and basic sanitation (about 42% of Brazilians—approximately 90 million people—lack access to treated sewage systems). High-demand products and services include:

  • Modular prefabricated/Advanced framing systems (including wood and steel frame)
  • Insulated Concrete Forms (ICF)
  • 3D house printing
  • Construction management software
  • Innovative concrete technologies (including pumps)
  • Construction equipment and technologies for wastewater treatment projects
  • Precision measurement and testing tools (laser levels, non-destructive probes, calipers, micrometers

This presents a unique opportunity for U.S. engineering and construction firms, as well as equipment, technology, and software providers, to partner with Brazilian companies and enter this market. The U.S. Commercial Service in Brazil is ready to assist your company in identifying in-country partners, as this is required to participate in government tenders and is a highly recommended best practice to enter the Brazilian market.
