On May 21, 2026, the U.S. Department of Commerce (Commerce) announced the initiation of antidumping duty (AD) and countervailing duty (CVD) investigations of stationary and portable air compressors (air compressors) from the People’s Republic of China (China, Malaysia, and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (Vietnam).

- The U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC) is currently scheduled to issue its preliminary determinations on or around June 15, 2026. For more information related to the ITC’s timeline, please refer to the ITC’s calendar.
- If the ITC issues affirmative preliminary determinations, Commerce would be scheduled to announce its preliminary determinations on July 27, 2026, for the CVD investigations, and on October 8, 2026, for the AD investigations. These deadlines may be extended in accordance with the statute.
