Commerce Initiates Antidumping Duty and Countervailing Duty Investigations of Certain Linear Hydraulic Cylinders and Parts Thereof from Canada, the People’s Republic of China, India, the Republic of Korea, and Mexico

On September 9, 2026, the U.S. Department of Commerce (Commerce) announced the initiation of antidumping duty (AD) investigations of certain linear hydraulic cylinders and parts thereof (linear hydraulic cylinders) from Canada, the People’s Republic of China (China), India, the Republic of Korea (Korea), and Mexico, and countervailing duty (CVD) investigations of linear hydraulic cylinders from China, India, and Mexico.

Therefore, aggregate volume data are not reflected in the table above. The petitioners estimated that the volume of U.S. imports of linear hydraulic cylinders in 2025 was 68,139,727 pounds from Canada, 303,386,972 pounds from China, 75,976,998 pounds from India, 33,025,703 pounds from Korea, and 45,286,923 pounds from Mexico.

Next Steps

  • The U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC) is currently scheduled to issue its preliminary determinations on or around September 28, 2026.  For more information related to the ITC’s timeline, please refer to the ITC’s calendar.
  • If the ITC issues affirmative preliminary determinations, Commerce would be scheduled to announce its preliminary determination on November 12, 2026, for the CVD investigation, and on January 26, 2027, for the AD investigation. These deadlines may be extended in accordance with the statute.

Global Business Navigator Chatbot Beta

Welcome to the Global Business Navigator, an artificial intelligence (AI) Chatbot from the International Trade Administration (ITA). This tool, currently in beta version testing, is designed to provide general information on the exporting process and the resources available to assist new and experienced U.S. exporters. Limitations

As a beta product, the Chatbot is currently being tested and its responses may occasionally produce inaccurate or incomplete information. The Chatbot is trained to decline out of scope or inappropriate requests. The Chatbot’s knowledge is limited to the public information on the Export Solutions web pages of Trade.gov, which covers a wide range of topics on exporting. While it cannot provide responses specific to a company’s product or a specific foreign market, its reference pages will guide you to other relevant government resources and market research. Always double-check the Chatbot’s responses using the provided references or by visiting the Export Solutions web pages on Trade.gov. Do not use its responses as legal or professional advice. Inaccurate advice from the Chatbot would not be a defense to violating any export rules or regulations.

Privacy

The Chatbot does not collect information about users and does not use the contents of users’ chat history to learn new information. All feedback is anonymous. Please do not enter personally identifiable information (PII), sensitive, or proprietary information into the Chatbot.
