Egypt Imposes Safeguard Measure on Global Imports of Semi-finished Products of Iron or Non-alloy Steel
On April 4, 2026, Egypt’s Investigating Authority issued a final determination in its safeguard into global imports of semi-finished products of iron or non-alloy steel (billets) and imposed a safeguard measure. The final duties assigned for producers/exporters can be found in Section 5 of the Final Determination notice.

Product Subject to the Measure
The products subject to this measure are semi-finished products of iron or non-alloy steel (billets). The subject merchandise is currently classified under tariff code 7207.
