Commerce Initiates Antidumping Duty and Countervailing Duty Investigations of Investigations of Tin Mill Products from the People’s Republic of China, Taiwan, and the Republic of Türkiye 

On April 30, 2026, the U.S. Department of Commerce (Commerce) announced the initiation of antidumping duty (AD) investigations of tin mill products from the People’s Republic of China (China), Taiwan, and the Republic of Türkiye (Türkiye), and the initiation of a countervailing duty (CVD) investigation of tin mill products from China.

Next Steps

  • The U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC) is currently scheduled to issue its preliminary determination on or around May 26, 2026.  For more information related to the ITC’s timeline, please refer to the ITC’s calendar.
  • If the ITC issues an affirmative preliminary determination, Commerce would be scheduled to announce its preliminary determination on July 6, 2026, for the CVD investigation, and on September 16, 2026, for the AD investigations. These deadlines may be extended in accordance with the statute.

Global Business Navigator Chatbot Beta

Welcome to the Global Business Navigator, an artificial intelligence (AI) Chatbot from the International Trade Administration (ITA). The Chatbot’s knowledge is limited to the public information on the Export Solutions web pages of Trade.gov, which covers a wide range of topics on exporting. While it cannot provide responses specific to a company’s product or a specific foreign market, its reference pages will guide you to other relevant government resources and market research. Always double-check the Chatbot’s responses using the provided references or by visiting the Export Solutions web pages on Trade.gov. Do not use its responses as legal or professional advice. Inaccurate advice from the Chatbot would not be a defense to violating any export rules or regulations.

Privacy

The Chatbot does not collect information about users and does not use the contents of users’ chat history to learn new information. All feedback is anonymous.
