On March 10, 2026, the U.S. Department of Commerce (Commerce) announced the initiation of antidumping duty (AD) and countervailing duty (CVD) investigations of certain fatty acids from Indonesia and Malaysia.

Next Steps
- The U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC) is currently scheduled to issue its preliminary determination by April 3, 2026. For more information related to the ITC’s timeline, please refer to the ITC’s calendar.
- If the ITC issues an affirmative preliminary determination, Commerce would be scheduled to announce its preliminary determination on May 14, 2026, for the CVD investigations, and on July 28, 2026, for the AD investigations. These deadlines may be extended in accordance with the statute.
