Brazil Issues Final Determination in the Expiry Review of its Antidumping Measure on Sodium Acid Pyrophosphate (SAPP) from the United States, Canada, and China
On June 8, 2026, Brazil’s Chamber of Foreign Trade (GECEX) issued a final determination in its expiry review of its antidumping (AD) measure on sodium acid pyrophosphate (SAAP) from the United States, Canada, and China. The final AD duties assigned for U.S. producers/exporters can be found in GECEX’s Final Determination Notice.

Product Subject to the Measure
The subject merchandise is sodium acid pyrophosphate of food grade. Sodium acid pyrophosphate is a water-soluble salt in the form of a fine, white powder, free of foreign particles. It is commercially known as SAPP, and is primarily used as chemical leaven, stabilizer, acidity regulator, emulsifier and/or sequestrant in various products of the food industry. The merchandise subject to the measure is currently classified under tariff code: 2835.39.20.
