Kevin Manning is the Chief of Staff and Senior Advisor at the International Trade Administration (ITA) in the U.S. Department of Commerce. In this role, he supports the Under Secretary for International Trade; helps guide the Administration’s initiatives on trade, investment, advocacy, and commercial diplomacy; advises on the strategic direction of the bureau; and oversees operations, budget, and personnel of ITA and its business units, including Global Markets, Enforcement and Compliance, and Industry and Analysis.

Previously he served as the Senior Advisor in Global Markets at ITA, working closely with the U.S. and Foreign Commercial Service, Advocacy Center, and SelectUSA, in addition to coordinating efforts on behalf of the Assistant Secretary. In President Trump’s first term, he served in the Department of Commerce’s Office of Public Affairs in the Office of the Secretary, spearheading communication efforts on behalf of Secretary Wilbur Ross, the Department, and its bureaus.

In addition to his tenure at Commerce, Kevin has extensive experience working in public affairs – specifically on transportation, tech, and financial services issues – for political campaigns, and on Capitol Hill.

An Ohio native, he earned is B.A. from Xavier University.
