Bill Guidera serves as the Deputy Under Secretary for Innovation and Engagement at the International Trade Administration. In this role, he leads industry engagement, stakeholder outreach, strategic partnerships, and priority initiatives across the organization, including service as the department’s G20 “Sherpa.” He is responsible for enhancing collaborations that advance U.S. interests in international forums and for guiding cross-sector efforts to enhance economic competitiveness.

Previously in ITA, Bill Guidera served as Acting Assistant Secretary for Industry & Analysis and Deputy Assistant Secretary for Services, where he and his team drove the policy conditions for U.S. digital, financial, supply chain, and other services industries to innovate at home and around the world. 

Prior to ITA, Mr. Guidera led government and public affairs programs within companies like PrizePicks, Netflix, 21st Century Fox, and Microsoft in federal, state, and international arenas. A specialist in public policy, communications, and advocacy as well as entertainment and internet law, he has developed several strategic initiatives that bridge industry and government.

Originally from Minnesota, Mr. Guidera was educated at Bates College and the George Mason University School of Law (now the Scalia Law School).
