Apply for the The President’s “E” and “E Star” Awards

Interested exporters and export service providers apply electronically through their local Department of Commerce U.S. Export Assistance Center (USEAC).

We want applying for the Award to be an easily understood process. Individual counseling and sample applications and justifications are available upon request to Eawards@trade.gov.

What Is Required to Apply?	Completed Application - Please send as autosigned PDF. Application for the President’s E and E Star Awards [767KB] Justification (answers to questions in section 5a or 5b, as applicable) - Please send as Word document. IRS Waiver (page three of application) - Please send as scanned PDF (no autosign accepted).
How to Apply?	Send documents by email to your trade specialist as electronic files. Paper documents are not accepted. Please send the following by email: Completed application, Justification, and IRS waiver form. Please cc: Eawards@trade.gov when submitting your application.
When Are Applications Due?	Applications should be received by the local USEAC at least two weeks before the deadline to allow time for local review. Please cc: Eawards@trade.gov when submitting your application. Application Period: Applications for the President’s E-Awards will be accepted between November 1 and the Friday following the Martin Luther King holiday in mid-January each year.

What to Expect After You Apply?

The ITA nominating employee will certify that the company is eligible for ITA services and forward to the E Awards Program Manager (Laura Barmby).
You will receive an email acknowledgement of the receipt of your application from Eawards@trade.gov or from Laura.Barmby@trade.gov within 24 hours of its submission. If you do not receive the acknowledgement, the application was not received.
