Office of Trade and Economic Analysis
The Office of Trade and Economic Analysis (OTEA) conducts data analysis and economic research that underpins the development of economic and trade policy priorities. OTEA has two teams: Data Analysis and Quantitative Analysis.
The Data Analysis Team publishes internal and public-facing data tools, as well as conducts quick-turn analysis to support the development of national trade policies. This team also administers the certificate program under the Export Trading Company Act, which provides antitrust preclearance for export joint ventures.
The Quantitative Analysis Team provides sophisticated economic analysis and modeling to support DOC and ITA policymakers.
