Bush Administration Official Honors
Local Firms for Export Achievement

Tim Thompson, Executive Director of Global Trade Programs in the U.S. Department of Commerce today presented the Commerce Department's Export Achievement Certificates to Lubline and Mirage Entertainment. The award recognizes companies and organizations that have used the export services of the U.S. Commercial Service to make their first export sale or open new foreign markets.

"Most of the jobs in America are created by small businesses," Thompson said. "Small and medium-sized companies like Mirage Entertainment and Lubline comprise almost 97 percent of U.S. exporters. The Bush administration will continue to work hard to help U.S. companies increase their exports and generate high-paying jobs for the working people of California."

Lubline, formerly Lubrichem, located in Diamond Bar, Calif. is a distributor of motor and gear lubricants and oil dispensing equipment used primarily for gasoline and diesel engines in the automotive aftermarket. Mirage Entertainment, Inc. located in the City of Industry, Calif. is a live show production company that produces shows for amusement parks around the world. "The combination of federal resources along with the entrepreneurial spirit of the people at Lubline and Mirage Entertainment have shown how public-private partnerships can help promote US goods and services abroad," Thompson said.
