USCANConnect 2021 is CS Canada’s flagship virtual trade and business development event providing U.S. SMEs with assistance in partnering with Canadian agents/distributors seeking opportunities in a dynamic U.S.-Canada trade and investment relationship.
USCANConnect 2021 will advise and assist U.S. SMEs through introduction to business opportunities in Canada. Supporting the bilateral Roadmap for a Renewed U.S.-Canada Partnership launched by President Biden and Prime Minister Trudeau in February 2021, the U.S. Department of Commerce will utilize our network of trade promotion and business development professionals located in the U.S. Embassy and Consulates in Canada, and U.S. Export Assistance Centers in the United States to promote U.S. exports. Aligning with Roadmap goals, USCANConnect 2021 is focused on assisting small- and medium-sized enterprises, advancing supply chain security, and combating climate change.
USCANConnect 2021 will also bring together U.S. and Canadian government and private sector organizations to share industry insights in an engaging digital environment, discuss improvements in trade facilitation and highlight opportunities afforded by USMCA. Protecting U.S. commercial interests in Canada and attracting Canadian investment into the United States are also objectives of the event.

U.S. exporters can create a profile on the Virtual Participant Profiles Place to highlight their company, logo, and describe their products and services for participating Canadian companies to view.
In the Virtual Participant Profiles Place, U.S. companies will also have access to Canadian company profiles to help them research and schedule potential B2B meetings with Canadian partners.
The cost of this option is USD 250 and includes:
- Briefings on market potential, opportunities, and trends, by industry sectors
- Essential information on Doing Business in Canada
- Platform to self-arrange B2B meetings with participating Canadian companies in separate breakout rooms
- Networking opportunities with potential business partners.
At U.S. exporters’ request, USCS is happy to arrange B2B meetings with prescreened Canadian potential partners for a fee of USD 1400. If you would like the U.S. Commercial Service in Canada to arrange these meetings, please click the “Customized Meetings” tab.
The Commercial Specialists at the U.S. Commercial Service in Canada can help by searching and scheduling appointments with pre-screened Canadian potential partners at USCANConnect 2021.
U.S. exporters that pursue this option also have access to the Canadian sector breakout sessions and the Virtual Participant’s Profile Place, to take advantage of the network opportunities at USCANConnect 2021 and set up own B2B meetings in separate breakout rooms.
The total cost of this option is USD 1400 and includes:
- Registration for two attendees to participate in USCANConnect 2021
- Up to three 1-on-1 B2B meetings in separate breakout rooms arranged by U.S. Commercial Service
- A contact list of targeted potential partners in Canada

Why should I join this event?
USCANConnect 2021 is the most cost effective and efficient way possible to explore and develop business prospects in Canada.
What’s the difference between the two different pricing options for the event?
Both options have access to the entire program, including the Virtual Participants Profile Place and the Canadian sector briefings. Where the two options differ is related to how the B2B meetings are arranged.
With the Networking option (USD 250), U.S. exporters utilize the Virtual Participants Profile Place to network with Canadian companies and arrange B2B meetings on their own.
With the Customized Meetings option (USD 1400), the Commercial Specialists of the U.S. Commercial Service Canada schedule up to three (3) pre-arranged meetings with Canadian companies that are interested in hearing more about your product or service. The U.S. company also receives a contact list of additional potential partners they can pursue on their own at a later date. This option would involve a call with the USCANConnect team to learn more about your goals and objectives in Canada.
Where can I pre-register?
The pre-registration link for the event can be found here or at the top of this page.
Are partnering and one-on-one meetings available to all conference participants?
Yes. Note the Customized Meetings option is limited to 20 U.S. participating companies on a first come first serve basis.
Can I get a list of registered conference attendees?
USCANConnect is above all a collaborative space, where your customers and partners can talk in real time. The Virtual Platform will allow you to consult the list of participants and will also give you the opportunity to chat or to send a 1 to 1 video conference request to the participants of your choice.
When will partnering and one-one-one meetings be held?
Meetings can be scheduled throughout the event and the time depends on the option (i.e., Networking or Customized Meetings) that you select.
For the Networking option, you can schedule meetings at any time during the event.
For the Customized Meetings option, the USCS will work with you and the potential Canadian partner to schedule a time. You will also be able to enjoy the benefits of the Networking option by scheduling your own meetings with Canadian companies.
The Virtual Platform has an ‘One-on-One’ module allowing you to review the list of participants and give you the opportunity to chat or to send a 1 to 1 video conference request to the participants of your choice.
Is there a limit on the number of meeting requests and messages I can send?
You may exchange an unlimited number of messages and/or schedule an unlimited number meetings that can fit within the event timeframe using our Virtual Platform. Additional meetings can be scheduled after the event using your own virtual platform.
Will conference sessions be available for viewing on-demand?
The main speaker’s presentation will be recorded and available for viewing on-demand for up to 30 days after the event. Live webcasting is essential in a virtual event. Live conferences are available from our virtual tables. By selecting the conference you wish to attend, you are prompted to choose a table. From the beginning of the event, participants are muted, and the central tile fills the event space. It is then possible to switch to chat mode with the other participants of the virtual table.
